Our Mission is to empower individuals with developmental disabilities to set and achieve life goals by being self-directed, healthy and live a meaningful life.
Requirements:
High School Diploma, Equivalent or HigherValid CPR/First Aid CertificationTraining:
College of Direct Support - Online classes for DDD CertificationsPreferredVehicle for Community Transport1-year Behavioral Experience
Responsibilities:
Care - Activities of Daily Living; Such as ability to run errands, meal preparation, house cleaning, getting dressed, taking medication and other items required for daily life.
Companionship - providing emotional and social support.
Mentorship - mentoring in the areas of academic and career development, employment, psychosocial health and quality of life, transition, and life skills.
Community Support - assistance necessary to support living and inclusion in the community, and to prevent isolation or segregation from the community.
Behavioral Support -help individuals understand, manage, and modify their behaviors in positive ways.
Medication Administration - practice of administering medication involves providing the patient with a substance prescribed and intended for the diagnosis, treatment, or prevention of a medical illness or condition.
